Building & Ordinance Enforcement
Department Responsibilities

The Building Department is responsible for maintaining and tracking permits issued for all new construction, alterations, additions, repairs, and demolitions, along with inspecting all building projects to assure compliance with the 2003 Michigan Residential Building Code. We are known for our impeccable reputation for being well organized and timely with both permits and inspections.

The Ordinance Enforcement Department is responsible for enforcing both the General and Zoning Ordinances, and the maintenance of all enforcement records. We are dedicated to keeping Fenton Township one of the most beautiful communities within Genesee County. With the cooperation of the citizens of Fenton Township we will continue to keep Fenton Township a clean, healthy, and safe place to live.
