Fenton Township Fire Department to Host Open House

The Fenton Township Fire Department will host an open house at Fire Station No. 2 (5120 Owen Road) on Sunday October 8, 2017 from 11:00am to 3:00pm. This event is free to the public and includes food and activities for the whole family. For more details, download the open house flyer.

Fenton Township Seeks Community Input for the Master Plan Update

Fenton Township is embarking on a new Master Plan, and community input is pivotal to the success of this multi-month process. To hear your insight on the Township's strengths and areas for improvement, a survey has been posted on the project website:

Thompson Road Widening Project Begins July 24, 2017

The Genesee County Road Commission project to reconstruct and widen Thompson Road from US-23 to Torrey Road begins Monday July 24, 2017. The project is expected to be completed by October 31, 2017. One lane of traffic (eastbound only) will be maintained throughout the construction process. Cable Television Service Complaints & Dispute Resolution

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) is responsible for the implementation and oversight of Public Act 480 of 2006 - Uniform Video Services Local Franchise Act (the Act). Section 10 of the Act provides a video/cable dispute resolution process at the MPSC to be used by customers, providers and municipalities. This dispute resolution process allows customers who are unable to resolve their video/cable television complaints with their provider to file a complaint with the MPSC.

Fundraising Begins for Thompson Road Regional Dog Park

A YouCaring fundraising account has been set up to raise money to develop the Thompson Road Regional Dog Park. The Township has approved plans for a 1.75 acre dog park on township property located off Thompson Road between Wiggins Road and Fenton Road. The fundraising goal of $25,000 will pay for fencing, signage, landscaping, a road and parking area. Donations can be made online at www.fentontownshipdogpark.com.

Free Latex Paint Recycling for Genesee County Residents

Genesee County 911 Center Rolls Out CODE RED Reverse 911 System

The Genesee County 911 Dispatch Center has initiated a new program to notify citizens of emergency situations. CODE RED is a “reverse 911” system that will send emergency and critical information to your phone, (missing child alerts, severe weather, etc.).
