Fenton Township Beach Temporarily Closed

The park located behind the Fenton Township Civic Community Center has been temporarily closed by the Genesee County Health Department due to high levels of e-coli bacteria in the waters of Lake Fenton. Water from the swimming area will be re-tested at regular intervals and it is hoped that the beach will re-open soon. Election Workers Needed

With the November 8, 2016 Presidential Election rapidly approaching, Fenton Township is seeking qualified individuals to work as Election Inspectors. To become an Election Inspector, an individual must be a registered voter in the State of Michigan or, if between the ages of 16-18, a resident of Michigan. Read more »

One Lane of Lahring Road Overpass Now Open

The Lahring Road overpass on highway US-23 is now open for alternating one-way traffic. The eastbound lane of Lahring Road is open with traffic signals at both ends to allow alternating traffic flow in each direction. The Lahring Road overpass will continue to operate in this manner until bridge repairs are completed sometime in 2017. Motorists should also be aware that emergency vehicles traveling on Lahring Road have the right of way and other vehicles should not enter the bridge lane until the emergency vehicles have passed.

Fundraising Begins for Fenton Township Dog Park

A YouCaring fundraising account has been set up to raise money to develop Fenton Township's dog park. The Township has approved plans for a 1.75 acre dog park on township property located off Thompson Road between Wiggins Road and Fenton Road. The fundraising goal of $25,000 will pay for fencing, signage, landscaping, a road and parking area. Donations can be made online at www.fentontownshipdogpark.com.

Wednesday Office Hours Change

To improve service to our residents, the Fenton Township office will remain open one hour later on Wednesdays beginning October 14, 2015, closing at 6:00 p.m. instead of 5:00 p.m. The later closing time will provide residents the ability to take care of township business after regular work hours. Fenton Township to Implement Cart-Based Waste Collection Program

Republic Services and Fenton Township are very excited to announce new changes in the way you handle your trash and recycling. Beginning June 15, 2015 Fenton Township residents will be receiving new trash and recycle containers. Republic will deliver two 95-gallon containers to each home. Read more »

ET Rover Removes Genesee County From Pipeline Route

ET Rover Pipeline, LLC has announced that it has signed a contract with Vector Pipeline and its affiliates for firm transportation capacity to deliver gas to markets in Michigan and the Union Gas Dawn Hub in Ontario, Canada, as part of the Rover Pipeline project. Read more »

Genesee County 911 Center Rolls Out CODE RED Reverse 911 System

The Genesee County 911 Dispatch Center has initiated a new program to notify citizens of emergency situations. CODE RED is a “reverse 911” system that will send emergency and critical information to your phone, (missing child alerts, severe weather, etc.).
